李：我一直从事中学的英语教学，发现很多孩子上中学时已经学了几年英语，但拼读单词时都是死记硬背，多长的单词，都是一个一个字母去背，学起来非常痛苦，效率特别低。分析原因就是，小学时，学的单词少，背得简单，依靠小孩的记忆力，能够记住一些。中学之后，单词量一下增加很多，靠死记硬背的方法学习，肯定会遇到一些困难。因此一定要在孩子上初中之前解决如何拼读和背诵单词的问题，不然孩子上中学后肯定问题特别大。

以往，我们对英语初学者的语音的教学是淡化的，中小学没有专门的课时教学语音知识。大学的英语专业才用半年的时间专门学习语音。那时，多数孩子都是初一开始学英语，到大学时，孩子刚学了6年英语，再系统学语音，是可以接受的。就像小孩学母语一样，2岁会讲话，但并不会认读，6岁上学才系统学习汉语拼音，掌握拼读汉字的能力。这样小学二年级以后，通过汉语拼音，孩子具备自己认读汉字的能力，孩子的语言能力迅速发展。

而现在很多学校小学一年级就开始学英语，一下提前了6年。但是我们仍然延续以前的教学方法，没有将语音的学习提前。语音教学的滞后，造成很多孩子到高年级以后，单词记不住，发不准音，英语学习很吃力，父母也为此困惑。

弓：目前小学和初中的教材中似乎没有系统涉及语音教学的内容。
