《大学语文》教学地位曾经到了边缘化,近几年在有识之士的不断呼吁下,作为母语教育的大学语文教学逐渐重视。“在培养大学生谋生本领、专业情感、科学精神、思想方法、沟通能力、合作能力、人脉资源、健体能力及培养现代文化人格之前,大学生首先必须具备说和写的能力,必须能够用口语语言和文字语言准确、简练、流畅、清晰、充分、周密地表达自己要表达的一切”[1]。作为一门通识课,这是大学语文的天职与使命。

《大学语文》有两个教学方向:一种是沿袭中学语文的篇目式教学的路子(国文),以文学作品为主,很少顾及写作;另一种采用应用文写作教学,很少或完全不用精读的范文。两种模式都有弊端。

随着中学教学质量的不断提高,素质教育深入发展,中学生的综合素质包括语言文字能力得到了提高。若大学继续采用篇目式教学,名家名篇都已做了介绍,部分学生通过课外读物自学,大学里再进行篇目式讲析,容易理解成一般赏析课,学生认为可上可不上,不加重视。第二条路,虽然培养了一定的应用写作能力,但其他能力,例如:阅读、演说等能力得不到提高。比如,部分学生回答问题就表现出手足无措,面红耳赤,声音颤抖,细若游丝,结结巴巴,甚至语无伦次等。

我校大学语文课程教学目标定在:诵读(阅读名篇)、演说(职场沟通交流能力)和财经应用文写作能力,注重培养三方面能力。

近几年,我校在教学模式上推行合作性教学改革方案。概括地说,合作性的教就是基于问题或项目进行的教学方式,要求由主讲教师与几名指导教师组成团队分工合作,进行课程教学、主持小班讨论,注重学生在教师指导下自主发现问题、研究问题、获得结论的过程,目的是训练学生的学习兴趣与自学习惯[2]。

合作性学是鼓励学生主动思考和探究,主动参与学习过程,培养自主意识、自主能力和自主习惯,充分发言和表现自己,从而强化学生的进取意识和竞争意识,使学生成为一个具有主体性人格的人。

在推进合作性学习的背景下,大学语文教学组尝试开展“重温经典,演绎剧本”的合作性教学活动,为学生提供重温经典,展示文学素养及表演才华的舞台,让学生在演绎、欣赏文学剧的同时,关注社会、发现生活、体悟人生,培养诵读与演说能力,取得较好的学习效果。

二、学生“读—思—编—演”

传统语文教学中,教师注重字词知识教学和内容理解,教师讲,学生听,老师累,学生烦,效率低。培养学生的阅读能力是语文教学的重要环节,如何让学生领悟课文,获得知识,教师必须摆脱纯知识教学的束缚,以导学、精讲为主,让学生自学,深入课文,理解作品。对于语文教学中的经典篇目,可以开展演绎剧本的合作性学习活动,促进学生对作品的阅读与理解。

当然演绎文学剧本是合作性教学实践,不同于艺术院校表演系的表演,是专业的艺术表演。

文学剧的特点是以对话为主要表现手段,可以当做文学课堂教学中的实践环节,即“情境设置”。具体做法如下:

先给学生明确任务,剧本要求:剧目可以取自于语文教材中和篇目,也可适当“放大”,如投射到历史题材,或关照现实生活,或从其他文学体式改编均可;选材的主题要思想正确,内容健康向上,趣味纯正;以话剧为主,独幕剧、多幕剧也可;要求戏剧结构合理、冲突集中,人物性格鲜明,有幕场,适于演出。

小组内部需对编剧、导演、主角、配角、服装(大学社团借)、道具(自制)、音控(配乐)等各项环节进行合理分配。要求做到:声音响亮,吐字清晰;感情投入,表情生动;动作合理,表现到位;时间控制合理,服装、道具、音乐运用恰当等。

其实,现在许多学生有智能手机,拍摄或配音等多媒体的技术应用较频繁。学生对此活动是较感兴趣的。

接下来是学生参与的一系列环节活动,具体如下:

读:按选材找到相关文本,以小组为单位开展作品阅读。学习小组是由学生自主选择的合作伙伴,我们经过实践,建议演绎剧本的小组6至10人为宜,如果少于6人学生就会觉得任务重,角色难以分工完成,如果超过10人,个别学生事不关己,浑水摸鱼,搭便车,不亲历演绎,没有达到合作教学目的。当然选择小组的同时,教师要综合考虑小组成员之间性格和知识能力的互补。在“读”的环节中,学习成员间要求互相提出问题,其他成员回答,加深对作品的理解。

思:这是文本的深层阅读,需要“潜心会本文”,“钻进去”,“披文以入情”,反思、追问、存疑、释惑,甚至要与篇目中的角色同喜怒哀乐,产生情感共鸣。要思考这篇文本通过怎样的故事情节,描写了什么典型人物形象,什么样的人物人性和人物命运,这里需要读者对人性和人生命运的理性思考。总之,要求各小组学生以文本细读作支撑,和文本“交谈”,提高对作品的理解能力。语文阅读不只是课文重点语句的认读,经典名篇的阅读更重要的是人文熏陶。

编:从文本中“跳出来”,改编文学剧,这一环节需要教师加强指导。指导学生的“编”,既可以忠实课文中的人物和情节,又可以根据主题需要和表演需要增添人物,增删情节,如续编故事等。鼓励各小组不拘泥于课本,展开想象,大胆创新,大胆构思。指导学生文学剧对话不只是规范化的文学语言,还可以通俗易懂,以更好地反映现实生活,便于观众接受。如果经改编的剧本能传达出乐观积极向上的生活态度,那便是一种超越书本的创造活动。

演:小组学生排练自己改编的剧目,人人参与,人人体验,群策群力。从设计PPT中的背景,从亲手制作道具,从借适合职业的服装到主次要演员安排等,在“演”的实践中,小组成员互相切磋、互挑毛病、互相鼓励、设计装扮、互相促进。同学们通过一次次排练和演出,加深了对原作的认识,更深刻地诠释了篇目。“演”的环节有助于激发学生参与课堂,表现自我热情,有助于理解文本主旨,培养学生知人论世的能力。

三、学生自评—小组互评—教师点评的多层面评价

在教师点评之前,我们的做法是先学生自评、小组互评。

1. 学生自评

学生自评要求注重以下环节:

尊重他人:是否认真聆听他人阐述,理性、客观地对待不同意见,是否认知并感谢他人的贡献。

交流技巧:是否向组内成员阐述自己的见解,找出自己和他人有误解的地方,并尝试解决。

责任完成:是否积极查找相关学习资源,对资源进行鉴别与评价,是否在规定时间内完成小组指定的任务,是否对自己和团体学习结果负责。

自我认知:是否发现自己的优、缺点,如何弥补缺点与不足的方法,面对他人公正的负面评价而不过度自卫或责怪他人,对合理的建议能加以评论,是否每次有进步等。

2. 小组互评

按参与分担任务的贡献度加以评价,指标主要是考查学生的交流与合作能力:是否有主动与他人合作的愿望,注重合作学习,乐于与他人交流自己的体会,展示自己的风采。在团队中是否经常与同学讨论,并认真听取别人意见等。

3. 教师点评

教师在安排学生汇演或在课堂上交流后,要对学生的表演进行现场点评与总结。

量化的指标:可以结合剧本方面的思想内容、人物形象、结构、戏剧语言方面评级,并结合舞台方面的吐词是否清晰、表现是否生动、时间控制、服装和道具的配合等环节进行考评。

此外,根据学生个体专题、小组的不同表现设立精神层面奖。例如:最佳表演奖、最新创意奖、同心协力奖等。要充分肯定学生出色的表演,并以此为契机开展文学诵读的美育活动。

四、借用MOODLE平台加以传播交流,强化文学美术活动的影响

许多学校有MOODLE等平台辅助课堂教学。当学生的文学话剧表演环节完成后,把他们的表演照片、视频花絮等上传到MOODLE平台上,这项活动最受学生喜爱,学生非常关注自己的“舞台形象”,其他班的学生也会来“围观”,以此提高学生学习主动性,提升他们的学习热情。

“重温经典,演绎剧本”,学生参加文学剧的演出,由被动的接受者变为主动的参与者,有利于激发他们的学习兴趣,深入把握文学剧中的人物性格。通过学习任务的分工合作,融洽学生之间的关系,增强小组团队的凝聚力。

学生自编、自导、自演,再加上观众又是“自家人”(参加演出的是自己熟悉的同学),台上演得认真,台下看得投入,语文课堂上不时传来欢声笑语,这种合作性教学方式有助于发掘学生的表演才能和参与意识,能加强学生的情感教育,不但能提高学生的文学素养,而且能提高大学生的审美素质和欣赏高雅艺术的能力。
