一、大学英语四级分制和题型的变化

按照全国大学英语四、 六级考试委员会的安排, “ 自2005年6月考试起, 大学英语四、六级考试的原始分数在经过加权、等值处理后, 参照常模转换成均值为500、标准差为70的常模正态分数。 同时, 四、六级考试不设及格线, 考试合格证书改为成绩报告单。 ”710分制也是正态分制, 即考生四、六级考试的原始分数在经过加权、等值处理后, 参照常模转换成均值为500、标准差为70的常模正态分数。

二、新题型能力要求提高

新的大学英语四级考试形式的最大变化就是将30分钟的短文写作放在了考试的开始。

【摘要】翻译对于一门语言学习而言，是一项极其重要的技能，也是外语教学中的一项重要环节。2013年8月14日全国大学英语四、六级考试委员会公布对CET-4考试中的翻译题型进行重大调整：即原单句汉译英调整为段落汉译英。因此，研究大学英语四级考试翻译新题型对教学的启示就显得尤为重要。

一、研究背景

大学英语四六级考试（简称CET）是由国家教育部高等教育司主持，为评价高等院校英语教学水平和质量而设立的全国性标准化考试。原有CET-4 考试题型中的翻译分值只占总分的5%，多为短句翻译题，重点考查核心语法、重点词汇、短语以及固定搭配等方面内容。新的CET-4 考试题型是指全国大学英语四、六级考试委员会于2013 年8 月14 日公布的“关于大学英语四、六级考试题型调整的说明”中规定的题型，对翻译题型进行了较大调整：即原单句汉译英调整为段落汉译英；翻译内容涉及中国历史、文化、经济、社会发展等。长度为140至160 个汉字，分值调整为15%，甚至与作文分值相提并论。因此，新题型引起了高校师生对大学英语翻译教学的重视。

二、四级考试翻译新题型带来的挑战

1.目前大学英语教材缺乏有针对性、体系化翻译理论指导及翻译技巧应用。目前国内绝大多数高校英语教材翻译练习以句子翻译为主，且以重点词汇、短语、句型为训练重点，鲜有体系化翻译理论和翻译技巧涉猎。因此，大学英语翻译教学具有较大的随机倾向和主观倾向，学生很难适应四级考试新题型中出现的中国历史、文化、经济、社会发展等方面的段落汉译英。

2.翻译教学人才较为缺乏。有些大学英语教师研究方向和研究兴趣跟翻译关系不大，对翻译理论和翻译技巧摄入不够，再加上课时有限，也使得大学英语翻译教学效果欠佳。

三、大学英语四级考试翻译新题型对教学的启示

1.加强课程设置，开设面向全院大学英语教学的翻译理论和实践课程。一方面，大学英语教材应适当引入基本翻译技巧，让学生逐步了解到汉英语言文化基本差异，提高翻译技能。另一方面，通过近几年的大学英语教学改革，目前各校已经开设了不少选修课，各高校可充分利用这一有利契机，开设面向全院大学英语教学的翻译理论和实践课程，提升学生对翻译技巧运用能力。

2.传授实用翻译技巧与实战训练相结合。授课教师应向学生介绍基本、实用的翻译理论及翻译策略、技巧，结合近年四级真题进行实战训练、分析、讲解。因为真题的题材、难度、难点设置等方面都是非常标准的“指挥棒”，势必会起到事半功倍的效果。当然，这对教师备课要求也会较高。

3.引导学生广泛阅读，加强积累。最新CET-4 考试中的段落汉译英能力是一种包括语言能力、翻译技巧、文化素养、百科知识等能力在内的综合能力。试想，如果学生十分了解翻译内容，对所译部分理解透彻，势必对其翻译起到事半功倍的效果。这就要求学生不仅要增强知识储备能力，也要融会贯通，触类旁通，提高综合素质。教师也应当引导学生多读书、读好书，因为素质教育也是大学外语教学不可分割的一部分。

4.巧妙利用英语课外活动。对学生翻译能力的培养，不但要重视翻译教学和文化教学紧密结合，也要注重课内教学与课外实践活动有机结合。此外，最好的学习方式就是实践，学校尽可能在课余时间为学生多组织与留学生的交流活动，使学生在实际的语言交流中切身体会两国文化的差异。此外，还可以让学生参加一些有意义的实践活动，比如让他们去一些体育赛事等做志愿者，在这些活动中，他们会深刻体会到学好英语的重要性。只有这样，才能更积极有效促进他们学习英语。

四、结语

大学英语四级考试翻译新题型对进一步深化大学英语教学改革有着重要启示作用，也将对全国的大学英语教学起到巨大反拨作用，大学英语课堂教学势必将使大学英语翻译教学超出传统意义上以语言学习为目的教学翻译，作为一种培养学生翻译能力的教学目的存在，新版的大学英语教材势必采纳段落翻译练习，从而达到大学英语教学的根本目的。

学校和授课教师应该充分地利用这个“指挥棒”更好地指导日常教学活动，尤其是翻译教学和文化教学，只有这样的教学活动才能把学生培养成听、说、读、写、译全面发展的复合型英语人才，才能真正实现大学英语的教学目标，才能为我国的发展和对外交流、合作培养出更多的应用复合型人才。
