英文求职信在当代社会变得越来越重要了。由于求职信内容的复杂性,在一篇求职信中很少只使用一种主位推进模式,更多的情况是在一个语篇中使用多种主位推进模式。多种主位推进模式的混合交替使用可以使求职信的结构更加清晰,语篇的连贯性更强,重点更加突出,句式也会更丰富。
1 相关理论概述
布拉格学派的创始人Mathesius提出了主位和述位的概念:"The theme is starting point for the message.It is the ground from which the clause is taking off."(Halliday,M.A.K.,2000)。主述位理论描述的是在句子或段落之中作者或说话人意欲突出不同的信息或赋予重要性时一种信息安排考虑(刘辰诞,1999)。一般来讲,主位表示已知信息,述位表示新信息。F.Danes(1974)提出了“主位推进模式”的概念:他指出每个句子都有它自己的主位结构。单独一个句子有一个确定的主位和述位,因为没有语境,主位和述位都是孤立的,而且没有发展,但在一个语篇中,至少存在两个句子,它们的主位和述位都相互关联着,这种关联实际上就是推进。Danes提出了三种主要的主位推进模式:1)简单线性主位推进模式;2)连贯主位模式;3)派生主位模式。此后,很多著名学者都对主位推进模式进行了大量的研究,例如黄衍(1985),徐盛桓(1985),黄国文(1988),朱永生(1995)等。朱永生,严世清在总结了众多学者研究的基础上,提出了四种主位推进类型(朱永生,严世清2001):1)主位同一型(平行型或放射型):各个子句的主位相同,述位各不相同,T1→T2;2)述位同一型(集中型):前一句的述位和后一句的述位相同,R1→R2;3)直线延续型(梯形):前一句的述位或述位的一部份成为后一句的主位,R1→T2;4)交叉型:前一句的主位是后一句的述位,T1→R2。对篇章的主位推进模式的研究能够帮助我们准确了解语篇的思想内容,合适的主位推进模式能够增强文章的连贯性和逻辑性。
2 主述位理论在英文求职信中的应用
求职信是应用型文体,最重要的目的是在最短时间内给招聘方留下深刻的好的第一印象,求职信可以说是招聘者递给招聘方的第一张名片。求职信一般情况下分三个部分:开头、主体、结尾。开头部分是求职信的第一部分,因为招聘人员每天都要看大量的求职信,所以开头部分的内容必须能够吸引对方继续阅读下去,如果开头部分不能吸引招聘方,为了节省时间,招聘方就不会对信的主体部分感兴趣了。以下是一封求职信的开头部分(除去称呼),这名应聘者想应聘的职位是网页设计师:

1.新闻人历来都重视导语写作。新闻导语就是新闻的开头,是新闻特有的一个概念,是“消息”这种新闻文体区别于其它文体的一个重要特征。导语是消息的开头,一般由最新鲜、主要的事实或精辟的议论组成。一条新闻,记者想表达什么,往往通过导语来“定调”,常用的导语有三大类型:①叙述型导语:用叙述的方法,开门见山地写出最重要、最新鲜、最生动的事实作导语。这是最常用的一种写法。②描写型导语:就是对新闻里有某一意义的特殊的场面作简洁而有特点的描写。③议论型导语:引用新闻中主要人物的尖锐而有新意的语言,或者提出大家所关心的问题,引起人们的关注和沉思。
在写导语时要注意以下几点:
1.1要有新闻事实。新闻事实是构成新闻的根本要素,导语的事实要新鲜而又富有意义。
1.2要抓住事件的核心,突出新闻本身所具有的特点。导语有确定全篇报道的主题,确定写作范围的作用,应在导语中首先交代所要报道的新闻事实或有价值的东西,以引起听众的关注。如:毛主席的《人民解放军百万大军横渡长江》的导语:“人民解放军百万大军,从1000余华里的战线上,冲破敌阵,横渡长江。西起九江(不含),东至江阴,均是人民解放军的渡江区域。”这个导语寥寥数语,就交代清楚时间、地点、事件及作者本人的万丈豪情,概括的不模糊,简略而包含深意。
1.3要简明扼要。在语言的运用上应尽量做到通俗易懂,规范使用口语。注意尽量多用短语,多用简单的句式,多用主动的语态,少用或不用长句,复合句,被动语态和书面语言。
1.4吸引和诱导受众听看新闻的其余部分。导语是新闻的开头,是一篇报道的重要组成部分,它是提炼主题以吸引受众听完全文的头一句话或第一段话。必须把导语构思得对所要表达的稿件主题具有强烈的冲击力,才能吸引听众的注意力。
1.5写导语最为重要的一点,导语要写得短些,再短些。能用20个字表达清楚,就决不要用21个字。能用一段表述,就绝不用两段。力求全面准确地把握新闻事实中的“黄金点”,将最有价值的东西立于篇首,以期达到先声夺人的效果。
2. 谈话节目是众多广播节目中受听众喜爱的一种节目形式,但各家电臺的谈话节目,在各有所长的同时,应具备以下基本要求:
2.1把握节目的选题。
谈话节目的选题——话题,是整个谈话节目成功与否的基石,不可掉以轻心,因此,在选题上要做到以下几点:
2.1.1要有社会价值。新闻事物话题的社会价值,在节目中往往表现为某种倾向,某种精辟而深邃的见解,并通过在谈话节目中的议论、评述的形式予以揭示,表达这一新闻事物的社会价值,以正确引导社会舆论,达到好的新闻传播效果。但在众多的广播谈话节目中,能够深入挖掘新闻社会价值的精品并不多见,很多节目仅仅是就事论事,没有把新闻事物蕴含的社会价值充分地揭示出来,没有在谈话过程中表明所评述的事件对于听众来说究竟意味着什么,会给他们带来怎样的影响,因而使人无法了解新闻事物的本质与真谛。
2.1.2要具有共鸣性。在一次新闻课上,老师曾讲过这样一句非常深刻的话:现在办节目的思路应从过去的“请听众注意”改变为“请注意听众”,你在选择话题时,一定要揣摩听众在关心什么,他身边在发生着哪些事情;什么事情对他们最重要。一般来说,听众总是关心和自己有关联的事物,越是同切身利益密切相关的信息,越能够引起关注。因此,好的选题要找准社会意义与广大听众利益的关联点,如果不善于发现新闻事件与广大听众利益的关联之处,仅从领导层面、工作角度来进行报道(谈话),就不能真正赢得听众欢迎。
2.1.3关注社会热点。社会热点是公众对某些社会现象和社会问题集中、突出的议论和反映。任何历史阶段都不可避免存在着社会热点,一个时期有一个时期的社会热点。社会热点是新闻媒体应该重视的领域,也为谈话节目选题提供了广阔的空间。但是热点问题跟其它事物一样,也是矛盾的综合反映,因此我们在选择热点问题作为谈话节目的同时,一定要注意正确引导舆论。
2.2谈话节目主持人的素质要求。
2.2.1学会倾听。一个好的谈话节目主持人,不仅仅要会谈,而更重要的是要会听。主持人倾听要做到:a.不随意打断。打断嘉宾谈话会让人感到很不礼貌,并且造成语意不完整;b.不无理插话;c.不要听不及义。听不及义就是没有听懂对方话语的意思或言外之意,就自顾自答,显示出回答的话语不合逻辑;d.要给嘉宾自己正在倾听的信号。例如“对”,“是吗”,“喔”等等,传达出理解、接收的信息;e.一边听一边思考,并会继续追问。因此,要做一个好的谈话节目主持人,首先要做一个合格的听众,要学会倾听。
2.2.2主持人要有个性 。如今的主持人,可以说是生活在一个幸福的时代,一个尊重人的个性的时代。要想节目脱颖而出,夺人耳目,就必须把自已的个性体现在节目里,或者睿智沉稳、或者机敏应变、或者娓娓道来、或者幽默风趣,凡是有鲜明个性的主持谈话,都会使谈话节目好听,也会增强节目对听众的影响。但强调个性并不是提倡主持人出言随意、口无遮拦,置节目的政策性和原则性于不顾,把自己主持的节目当作是表现个人的舞台。在张扬个性的同时,还要将个性与理性相结合—一“理性思考是主持之根”。
2.2.3主持人要有情感投入。没有感情的、冷冰冰的节目是不会有听众的。谈话节目主持人在主持节目、讲述一件事或者讲述一个人,其实都是在用声音传情。如果主持人在所做的节目中缺乏情感的投入,那么这个节目也就不会让听众动情。主持人必须将自己放在节目当中,进入角色,甚至可以通过想像描述一幅场景,达到以情动人的效果。
2.2.4注意节目节奏。节目内容决定节目的节奏。比如谈话节目,它的节奏就要随谈话内容的变化而变化。社会热门话题与家长里短的话题就要用截然不同的节奏来驾驭。对于广播节目而言,节奏是美,节奏是节目运行的规律,更是每一个广播人应当不断探讨和领悟的道行。
2.3谈话节目的风格。
节目的风格是经过长期探索而形成的,是这个节目给予听众的印象。作为谈话节目大致上具有三种风格:第一,重要性。所选话题必须是与百姓利益密切相关的,是党和政府的重要政策和法规,能满足听众关心和了解国家、省市政府大事的需要。第二,贴近性。听众用一定的时间收听广播节目,这个节目必须与他们的生活、工作贴近,这样节目才会有吸引力,才能引起百姓的关注。第三,关怀性。不同的节目有不同的风格,或轻松、或亲切、或活泼。谈话节目比之其它广播节目,不是“我说你听”模式,而是一种双向交流的传递模式,谈话节目主持人的语言表达应当适合作为服务者、倾听者、交流者的需要。为达到与听众平等交流的目的,必须使语言、语调贴近生活,显示出对人的关怀。
2.4节目的音响补充。
广播节目没有画面,所有一切都是用语言来表达、说明,如能有适当的音响补充,节目也就更能表达出主持人的意图。因此主持人与嘉宾在对话交流过程中,穿插相关的音响,可以起到“画龙点睛”的作用。
总之,谈话节目是众多广播节目中受听众喜爱的一种节目形式,通过分析谈话题目的选择,节目对主持人的要求、节目的风格以及节目主持之外的因素,可以得出这样的结论:一个好的广播谈话节目,要选择好的话题,通过主持人的表达,建立公众交流信息的平台,实现对舆论的正确引导。

When you prepare to write a cover or application letter, you could refer to the following checklist.
I. Attention(Opening Paragraph)
A. Capture the reader’s attention in a businesslike way. Choose an option:

10.英文简历写作规范要求 篇十
在英文简历中可以适当进行的粉饰,或者是包装,但是凡事都要有一个限度。英文简历的通过率首先要具有一定的真实性。
一、首先,自己的姓名,地址,联系方式,比如电话或者电子邮箱等等。一般采用居中的方式,其他的则居左就可以了。如下:

二、接着,要写objective(求职意向)。这一栏是最重要的一项了。很多公司主要看这一项的内容是否跟他们所要求的一致或者接近。比如:
OBJECTIVE:
A sales management or business development position where my strategic and consultative selling, cross-cultural relationship building, team facilitation, business management, organizational insight, and advanced technical skills will be continually challenged. I aspire to senior management responsibility and seek a company that embraces growth and change, where compensation is performance-based and increased levels of responsibility offered those with demonstrated potential. (销售经理职位或者和企业发展有关的职位,可以使我的战略头脑、销售能力、建立跨文化关系的能力、团队能力、商务管理能力、组织能力和先进的技术能力都能够进一步的发挥和进步。)
上面这个例子是老外的简历中的原句,当然对中国人来说比较复杂,如果对英语要求不高的话,其实也不需写这么多。一般来说可以直接翻译中文简历中的句子,但是也有很多比较好、大家普遍接受的表达方法,由于各行各业不同,应聘职位也不同,要根据情况而用不同表达。但是如果你想要应聘外企或者所应聘的公司对英语要求比较高的话就可以把使用的句子修饰一下,当然要在自己的能力范围内哦。
三、下面要写summary了,也就是(个人简介)。
这可是展现自己能力的一个好机会,既要赞美自己,又不能使对方觉得自己在自夸。
四、Experience 工作经验。
这一点,别人可帮不了你,得自己写。不过以什么样的形式写,我可以给大家一个建议,比如:

上面这个例子中体现的方式是外国人普遍采用的方式。因为外国人从很小的时候就开始独立,那么他们可能从事过很多工作,这种方式即使是罗列很多条也比较清晰,而且还把时间和当时的职位用一种比较明显的方式标注,也能突出重点。职位下面的那句话就是对你所担任的那个职位简单描述了。
另外要注意的是,如果工作经验很多,也没有必要完全列举出来,可以挑几项自己感觉最得意的或者对自己提升最大的来写。
五、再接着要写education(教育背景)。一般从大学开始写起,时间,学校,专业,所获得的学位,还有awards也就是所获的奖项,尤其是特殊奖项等。(注意:如果教育经历不多的话一般教育和奖项写在一起,但是如果教育背景或者奖项很突出的话,则可以另列一栏。)
以上这些是必写的内容。还有一些可以有选择性的写,比如:Associations(参加的社团组织),现在的公司对计算机或者外语能力都有一定的要求,所以还可以写自己的Computer background(计算机能力)和Language skills,最后还可以写一栏Personal profile(个人评价),比如:
A dynamic, articulate, talented leader, manager and sales professional who inspires confidence and respect, grasps ideas and concepts quickly, is adept at organizing complex projects, recognizes or creates solutions to problems, believes in setting and achieving goals, and possesses the integrity and commitment to high quality performance that produces outstanding results of lasting value.
除此之外,还可以加上一些个人情况,像婚姻情况,身体状况,业余爱好等等。

1、英文简历怎样写看起来美观

写每一段的时候,讲清楚一件事情就好,在这件事情上你承担的职责或者项目,背景用一句话或一个小段概括出来,接着在这个项目上你做了什么,而且把这些内容能量化的`量化,尽量用数字来表达你做的内容的量,让看的人有一个直观的印象;每一段内容不能重复,这样你所表达的能力是不同的。最后还要强调你做的这个项目的结果是怎样的,总的来说就是背景、内容和结果这样的逻辑。在中文和英文有个相同点就是用动词开头,一个标准的句子写作模式就是副词+动词+名词或名词短语来表达你所做的事+数词来修饰你做的事情的量+你做这些事情的目的或者是产生的结果。

在雇主眼里,一个求职人员的履历表占30分,求职附信占20分,所以写好求职附信几乎和写履历表一样重要。
When you prepare to write a cover or application letter, you could refer to the following checklist.
I. Attention(Opening Paragraph)
A. Capture the reader’s attention in a businesslike way. Choose an option:
1. Summary opening. Present your strongest, most relevant qualifications, with an explanation of how they can benefit the organization.
2. Name opening. Mention the name of a person who is well known to the reader and who has suggested that you apply for the job.
