治这种病有多种方法，比较有效的一种是经常搞一搞一分钟自我竞赛。

这种办法即使在孩子心情不好的时候，用起来也比较容易。

孩子正拖拉，不愿做事时，您启发他：“心情不好，就朗读激动人心的散文、诗歌，时间不用长，只读一分钟。”读过一分钟，数一数读了多少字。再读一分钟，声音又大又快地读，看比刚才多读了多少字。一做事，又是做容易的事，拖拉的念头就没有了兴奋的时间，就暂时休息了。

朗读了两三分钟，您可以引导孩子默写背得熟练的中文课文和外语课文，不必多写，只写一分钟，看看能写多少个汉字和英文字母。如果心情非常糟，那就不默写，只抄写。快写一分钟，数一数写了多少字，再写一分钟。

写了两三分钟，拖拉的脑细胞一般处于抑制状态了，学习的脑细胞开始活跃了。这时，再引导孩子进行一分钟速读，语文、数理化教材或报纸杂志均可。

还可以引导孩子跳读一分钟，数理化教材都可以，看一分钟能读多少页。速读、跳读，有利于集中注意力，有利于训练孩子从总体上把握重点难点的能力。

还可以训练孩子一分钟背诵的能力，看看一分钟背下来多少字的一段课文，也可看看背下来几个英语单词，或是别的学科的知识点。

不管多么擅长拖拉的孩子，不管注意力多么不好的孩子，一分钟全神贯注的能力还是有的。一旦进入这种状态，便常常会取得自己意想不到的结果，发现自己的大脑有巨大潜力，发现自我生命的神奇。

一般中小学生，其速度是一分钟朗读250字，速读800字，跳读1500字，抄写30字。

经过一段时间训练，我们全班学生又搞了一次一分钟竞赛，结果，一分钟朗读，全班平均读完了500字的文章，速读一分钟平均完成1500字，跳读平均完成2500字，默写平均写完了50字。背诵，大家随意选了一段记叙文，平均每人背了长100字的一段话。

即使学习倒数第一的同学，在一分钟竞赛活动中，全身心投入，不断超越自己昨天的数字，也会取得远远胜过平时的结果，充满了自我超越的欢乐。

孩子经常搞这种一分钟的自我竞赛，往往就使拖拖拉拉的脑细胞失去了兴奋的机会。自我竞赛多了，拖拉病就治好了。

I felt like accounting was the language of the business world and I felt like if I learned that well, I’ll be able to not only understand business world, but also know how they work and provide solutions for them in a different way.

So after college, I worked at PWC as an auditor and while working there, I really enjoyed my time especially because they do a lot of teamwork and it’s very project-based, meaning I’ll be doing different things throughout times, so I’ll be learning new things and looking at different industries like I mentioned earlier.

And also, getting to know other businesses and how they work.

But one thing that I didn’t like about accounting and the public accounting world was it didn’t really give me much room for creativity and innovation.

Yes, there were some aspects of my job that I could apply that somewhat, but in a whole sense it didn’t really give me room to do that in a way that I was satisfied.

So that’s why I decided to come to Fuqua.

And after Fuqua I would actually want to get into the tech industry, because I feel like the tech industry gives you a platform to really exercise and practice the creativity and innovation that you have.
