明德中学 “三生”理念 ( 生命教育、生活教育和生态教育) 是在新一轮课程改革背景下引进的。其主旨是减负增效, 打造高效课堂。“中小学生命教育的理论和实践研究”首席专家肖川教授认为:“生命教育”作为教育的价值追求, 作为真正人道的教育, 其目的是帮助学生更好的理解生命的意义, 确立生命尊严的意识, 高扬生命的价值, 使他们能拥有一个美好的人生。1生活教育即从生活中学习, 教育在生活中进行。生态教育是指教育中的教师、学生、教学内容以及教学资源等各因素应该像自然界的生态系统一样, 相互联系、相互依存、相互作用, 最终实现人与人、人与自然以及人与社会的全面和谐、可持续发展的教育。
所谓英语 “三生课堂”, 是指让英语课堂 “生命化、生活化和生态化”。“三生课堂”要求老师关注学生个体的 “生命、生活、生态”, 创设优质高效课堂。要打造英语 “三生课堂”教师应明确学生才是学习的主体, 把课堂还给学生, 让学生自主学习、自主探究、自主发展、让教学结果自然生成, 从而提高课堂效率。下面笔者以 《人教版新目标七年级英语下册》为例, 分析如何有效实现英语 “三生课堂”。
1. 让学生自主, 打造生命化课堂
英语 “三生课堂”以学生终身发展、全面发展为本, 为学生的终身发展和幸福奠基。这就要求我们教师尊重每一个学生, 把自主性还给学生, 让每一朵花都能绽放。要营造出富有生命力的英语课堂氛围, 教师在设置教学环节时要难度适宜, 跳一跳就能够得着的目标才是适合学生的, 否则将大大挫伤学生的积极性, 让课堂沉闷无聊。以记英语单词为例, 很多学生畏难不愿记单词, 为此笔者将每单元单词按10个一组分配, 每天记10个, 大大降低了难度, 第二天课前笔者将花5分钟时间以学习小组为单位口头抽查单词记忆情况。每个学生抽查一个单词, 全对的小组可以加分。因为第一天回家抄写并默写了这10个单词, 第二天他们通常都很有信心来回答单词。学生们总是抢着预约第二天的单词抽查名单。再比如默写单词, 笔者先前一次默写一个单元, 学生得满分者甚少, 后来笔者把一个单元分两次默写, 全对者比先前多了, 学生也更喜欢默单词了。所以教师在设置任务时要充分考虑学生的水平, 布置难度适宜的练习, 这样效果或许更好。
2. 教育从生活中来, 到生活中去, 使学习生活化
陶行知先生说, “生活即教育, 在生活里找教育, 为生活而教育”, 这要求我们备课时不是从教材、教参出发, 而是从学生的生活实际出发, 课堂以生活为本。在讲授Unit 8 Is there a post office near here时, 笔者就先搜集了部分学生家庭附近的建筑物, 在课堂活动 “ A guessing game”中, 选择一些学生上讲台来, 其他学生猜测 “Is there a/an…near your home?”, 因为这些建筑物来自学生身边, 所以学生们积极性很高, 他们想知道自己同学家附近有些什么建筑物, 而那些上台的学生也很希望与大家分享自己家旁边有何种建筑物。再比如在讲授Unit 9 What does he look like? 时, 笔者预先搜集了学生家长的一些照片并设置了一个孩子用英语描述自己父母的长相的环节, 再出其不意地放出孩子们父母的照片, 家长的参与让孩子对本堂课印象十分深刻。当笔者问孩子们: “Do you love your mother / father?” 和 “I think your mother is the most beautiful woman /your father is the most handsome man” 时, 孩子们都给予了肯定回答。这样的环节取材于孩子们的生活, 同时还渗透着浓浓的亲情教育。
3. 小组合作, 人人参与, 教师巧设问题, 打造生态化的课堂
英语 “三生课堂”强调小组合作, 共同参与。生态化英语课堂强调把教学各要素看成一个教学的生态系统, 以实现教师和学生共同和谐发展。教师着眼于学生整体, 让学生小组合作探究问题, 自然生成。以Unit 4 Don’t eat in class为例, 这个单元重点是谈论规则, 笔者设置了一个环节, 小组合作为本班制定班规, 同时选出最酷班规。孩子们分组合作, 讨论热烈。最后纷纷要求展示自己小组制定的班规。再比如英语写作, 传统写作模式中老师把题目给定, 对题目做点简单分析, 让学生独立完成, 结果是一些学生总觉得无话可写。笔者的做法是对于一些难度较大的作文, 采取合作学习模式, 大家集思广益, 共同探讨完成作文。在这种模式下, 平时不爱写作文的学生在其他同学的带领下纷纷提出自己的观点或看法, 每个小组成员都会或多或少地贡献自己的力量。以小组合作形式写出文章, 再以小组合作的方式互相批改作文, 最后老师总结。随着合作机会的增多, 学生们的互帮互助意识增强了, 团队感也增强了。写作变得有趣味性了。要打造生态化课堂, 作为课堂组织者, 引领者的老师也要善于设置问题。
“三生”英语课堂要求老师以培养学生将来的生存能力为目标更加用心地去备课, 让自己的课堂符合基本的认知规律和教学规律, 不能破坏学生自然的生长过程, 让每一朵花都自然地开放。

本单元学生已掌握了怎样表达自己喜欢的动物、原因和描述动物来自的地方等信息,所以对于动物应该有兴趣去更深层次地了解。本节课主要是通过一篇网页文章为学生介绍泰国象的有关信息和面临的危机,从而唤醒大家保护野生动物的意识。本节课我们将带领学生利用思维导图对文章进行全方位的理解,要教会学生怎么样去收集信息和整理信息,在信息输出的时候要学会用完整的句子进行表达。
[教学目标]
一、语言技能:能从简单的文章中找出有关信息,理解大意;能找出文章中的主题,理解故事的情节;能根据不同的阅读目的运用简单的阅读策略获取信息。

[教学过程]
(活动一)学生观看有关濒临灭绝的动物的视频。
师:播放视频,为学生介绍一些动物的名称。告诉学生这些动物越来越少了,从而引入新的短语be in great danger.
设计意图:让学生对于濒临灭绝的动物有一定的了解,也为后面讨论哪些动物正面临危险做好铺垫,同时扫除部分生词的障碍。
(活动二)学生讨论哪些动物正处于危险中。
师:引导学生说出一些濒危动物的名词,如:panda,giraffe,dolphin,elephant等。
设计意图:通过这一环节,让学生明确哪些动物正濒临灭绝,由此引出今天的主题,“泰国象”也正处于濒临灭绝的危险中,我们将进一步地了解。
(活动三)学生快速阅读,找出每个段落的主题句,并为文章找出最好的标题。
①The elephant is one of Thailand’s symbols.

Title:Let’s Save the Elephants.
师:引导学生采取快速阅读的方式,找出每个段落的主题句,并告诉学生,主题句一般位于段落的开头和结尾,有时候每个段落不止一个主题句。最后通过所找出的主题句,找出最好的标题。
设计意图:主题句能帮助学生了解整篇文章的大意,为后面标题的选择做好铺垫,降低难度。
(活动四)学生再次阅读文章,完成思维导图,在思维导图的帮助下尝试复述课文。

[分层作业设计]
一、利用思维导图写出完整的句子,简单复述文章。
二、仿写文章,介绍熊猫。学生根据自己的实际情况选择完成。
课后反思:①用思维导图的方式,能更好地帮助学生理解文章的内容,理清思路。②最后的歌曲與一开始的野生动物的视频形成了呼应,起到了很好的点晴作用,为整节课画上了一个圆满的句号,引起了学生的共鸣,有的孩子还哭了。③本节课在处理思维导图时过于急躁,让学生一次性找出所有的信息,这样对于一些基础较差的学生来说,难度比较大。下次可以把难度降低,分部分完成,这样可以让不同层次的学生都能参与。
教学的机智:最后受到歌曲的感染,即兴地让学生说了说对于保护地球,我们可以做些什么。孩子们能说出不少,如:地球是我们的家园,动物是我们的朋友,我们都应该保护好他们。我觉得对于学生的情感教育是一个升华。

1、本节课我们将学习一些表示食物的词汇,有些词汇会非常难记。
(1)课前请先根据音标知识以“自学+交流”的方式试读这些新词汇,并在以后运用中记住它们。下面推荐一个串记口诀。
美味食物摆上桌,眼花缭乱非常多。果蔬搭配有营养,一看我就Like。
草莓strawberry,沙拉原是salad;French fries是薯条,全部吃完打饱嗝。冰湛淋ice cream要少吃,坏了肠胃了不得。

1.打招呼的差异。在中国,打招呼是一种必不可少的社交形式。当遇到不熟悉的人,中国人往往就来个“点头之交”即可;对于很熟悉的朋友,用语就比较多样了。然而,在西方,这种方式会让他们感到很突兀,甚至不快。因为对于西方人来说,这些问题是有关他们的私生活的,而对于英美人来说,隐私是非常重要的。在西方,当他们遇到人不想多聊,只想简单的打个招呼的时候,他们经常就说“Hello”或根据不同的时间段说“Good morning!”“Good afternoon!”或“Good evening!”,这就等同于中国人的点头之交。如果遇到比较熟悉的人,他们会常用谈论近况来开启交际对话。
而对于谈近况这个话题,我们最熟悉的就是“How are you?”这个问句了。而这个话题出现在Starter Module1My teacher and my friends Unit2 Good morning. I’m Chen Zhong.这一课中出现。以前常听人批判中国的填鸭式英语教学的时候就喜欢用这个问句来做例子,中国的学生只会用“Fine,thank you.”来回答这个问题。但我发现最近的孩子并不会这样了,一组学生,我都问同一个问题,但是答案会比较丰富,例如:Just-so-so. Not bad. 等等。对于这点,我们应该感到欣慰。但我也发现了一个问题,很多学生也会停顿思考后才回答我这个问题,说明“ How are you?”这个问题对他们来说真的就是一个需要思考后回答的问题。但事实真是如此吗?其实西方人也是很喜欢用这句老套的问话来打招呼,事实上,他们大多时候所期待的都是“Fine,thank you.”这类标准的回答。其实“How are you? ”就像中国的“你吃了吗?”其实问的人也不一定要真想知道你吃没吃,中午吃什么了?这只是开始一段话的问候语。在历史悠久的中国,民族文化背负的东西很多,其实西方很多国家的人也不是那么容易快乐的。我们东方文化充满了消极宿命的色彩,面对“How are you?”就自然会有不同的回答。但是西方人倡导积极乐观的面对人生,所以不管他们心情多么糟糕,也基本都是用 “Fine,thank you.” 或“Pretty good” 来回答。所以,对于这个问题,其实没有对错,不同的情境和不同的文化也就营造出了不同的语境。
2.校园环境差异。新标准英语七上Module3 My school Unit There are thirty students in my class.(P14)中对话里:
Linda: Yes,it’s really big. There are thirty students in my class. How many students are there in your class in Beijing?
Daming: There are forty students,twenty girls and twenty boys.
从这里我们可以看出两人对这个“big”的差异。笔者发现两张图片里教室的桌椅都是一套套独立的,也就是说教室里的学生是没有同桌的。在中国,同桌是一种校园文化。对于我们的学生来说,同桌是他们人生的第一次实际的人际关系训练。然而在美国等西方国家,学生上课有必修和选修两种,学生要根据不同的课程去不同的教师上课,他们经常要跟不同的学生一起学习。而且不同的教室也有根据课程内容有多样化的布置,大部分的教室都是单桌或是适合他们小组活动的大张桌。因此,在西方学生的眼里是没有同桌的。
3.兴趣爱好差异。说到兴趣爱好,每个人都有自己的兴趣爱好,这个都是因人而异很难总结。所以笔者就结合自身的教学经历来谈谈这方面的差异。在新标准英语七上这册书中,与足球这项运动有关的图片和文字出处入下:

( 在这个例子中,Daming和Tony的最喜欢的运动都是足球,但我觉得他们的文化内涵是不一样的。考虑到两国的足球文化的差异,笔者认为Daming说喜欢足球,这可以理解为其个人的一种兴趣爱好,而Tony对足球的爱好则体现了一种普遍性。)
(2)P28 描述My school day: They go to the playground and play football (during the break).
P31 Around World: After school they go swimming,play football ...
(这两处都提到了学生的足球活动,对于英国的学生休息期间和放学后,最常见的运动之一就是踢足球了,而我们的学生基本上都是打乒乓球和篮球,这个差异我们从学生所写的作文My school day里很容易看出来。)
