叶圣陶先生说:“语文教材无非是个例子, 凭这个例子要使学生能够举一反三, 练成阅读和作文的熟练技能。”课本中所选的文章无论是思想性还是艺术性都堪称典范, 如果教师能在写作训练中以课文为例, 注意引导学生借鉴, 对名家下笔为文的技巧加以提炼和归纳, 掌握基本的方法, 对于提高学生的书面表达能力有着重要的意义。
一、交代背景式
作者不急于开宗明义, 而是为主要内容作铺垫, 或交代事情发生的背景和缘由, 或衬托人物的身份与地位, 或营造环境的氛围, 或用来引起读者的思考, 从而达到引人入胜的效果。这类开头在中高年级段的语文教材中最为常见, 涉及的文体也最为广泛, 包括记叙文、议论文、说明文、应用文等。如《白杨》一文中的开头:“车窗外是茫茫的大戈壁, 没有山, 没有水, 也没有人烟。”作者虽然只用寥寥数语对戈壁进行了描写, 就为故事的铺展创设了情境。在黄沙漫天的戈壁中, 透过车窗能望见的只有笔直地挺立着的白杨, 父亲与两个孩子围绕白杨的谈话由此展开。再如《凡卡》 中的开头:“九岁的凡卡·茹科夫, 三个月前给送到鞋匠阿里亚希涅那儿做学徒。”作者契诃夫在文章开头就阐述了凡卡的悲惨相遇, 让读者不禁为一个备受蹂躏的小男孩感到揪心, 也使下文的小男孩给爷爷写信出现得合情合理。

一个好的作文题目,不仅对全文起到画龙点睛的作用,同时能激发学生的写作欲望,开拓学生的创作思维。制作一个精致形象的标题,应从以下几个方面去思考。一是概括主要事作,如《飞夺泸定桥》《开国大典》《草船借箭》等课文,一看课题,就知道作者要写的主要事件。二是提出全文中心,如《难忘的一课》,突出“难忘”这一中心,还有《自己的花儿是给别人看的》《青山处处埋忠骨》《梦想的力量》等,都体现出文章的中心。三是交代写作对象特征,如《刷子李》《顶碗少年》《桂花雨》等课文,写作重点在对象的修饰语上,写作素材显得“独一无二”,很具吸引力。四是点明行文线索,如《窃读记》中的“窃”,《索溪峪的“野”》中的“野”,既是“题眼”,又是行文线索。从这四种角度拟题,小学生应该能接受。如人教版六年级《语文》上册第一单元写“暑假生活的收获”,班上学生拟了这些标题:《做了一回志愿者》《我爱看广场舞》《外婆的村庄》《夏夜的星空》《心静自然凉》等,都很不错。
二、立意要精深新颖
小学生作文习惯于开篇点题,表明主旨,照应题目,引出下文。但不少学生只会就事论事,不懂得把题意引申开去,立意肤浅,体现不出新意和深意。
要让开头立意精深,就必须学会透过事物的表象,寻找事物的本质特征。比如,对于“幸福”和“不幸”,大多数人都认为各有不同,而列夫·托尔斯泰在《安娜·卡列妮娜》中以题记开篇:“幸福的家庭都是相似的,不幸的家庭各有各的不幸。”这样高度概括、提炼,让读者初读时迷迷糊糊,不明就理,细想却恍然大悟,拍案叫奇。
三、布局要精巧适度
作文开头具有统领全文、布局谋篇的作用。无论是精致短文,还是鸿篇巨制,开头布局需要精巧适度。“布”而不收是小学生作文开头常见的毛病,导致“头”不对“体”或文不对题。一位学生在《秋天的味道》开头写道:“秋天是一个多姿多彩的季节,不仅有五彩缤纷的颜色和悦耳动听的声音,还有无比诱人的味道。”一看这个开头,我们都会认为作者接下来要写秋天的颜色、声音和味道。可是,作者分三个层面写了“秋天的味道是甜的”“秋天的味道是香的”“秋天的味道是鲜美的”,开头布局谋篇出了问题,应当改为:“秋天是一个多姿多彩的季节,有人喜欢她五彩缤纷的颜色,有人喜欢她悦耳动听的声音,可我更喜欢她无比诱人的味道。”这就不仅与标题和主体相一致了,而且语境也增色了不少。
四、语言要精美活泼
作文的开头可以用各种表达方式,但无论是记叙、描写,还是抒精、议论和说明,语言都必须准确规范,生动形象,富有表现力和感染力。
作文开头的语言表达,往往会为全文奠定感情基调。正确引领学生行文的感情基调十分重要,教师应该主张、鼓励和要求学生以积极向善、向美、向上的心态,抒写阳光明媚、春和日丽的美好童年。曾经,我布置学生在课堂写一篇以“春天”为话题的作文,一位学生在题为《春天的回忆》开头写道:“往事不堪回首,尤其是在流水漂花的春天。”我发现这孩子写好开头后,久未动笔,眉头紧皱,一脸忿然。于是我把他的作文开头稍作了修改:“往事是经不起回首的,何况是在流水漂花的春天呢?”这样一改,孩子的眉头舒展了,表情平静了,作文很快就一气呵成。
五、标点要精准灵活
作文开头如能精准灵活地用好标点符号,一定会令人耳目一新,这也是小学生作文的一个弱项。不少学生都是“逗号逗到底,句号来收尾”。事实上,标点符号也是一种鲜活的语言,能表达出丰富的情感。朱自清《匆匆》一文的开头,连标点符号共103个字,却用了6种标点符号。在这个开头段中,标点符号一叹三吟,峰回路转,不是文字,胜似文字。
精准灵活地用好标点符号,可以让一個繁琐枯燥的开头,变得情感丰盈,生动有趣,悬念迭出。教学《藏戏》之前,把课文开头改为:“世界上没有几个剧种是戴着面具,没有演出舞台,而且一部戏可以演出三五天还没有结束的。”要求学生合上课本,把这个开头改写为三个排比、递进的反问句,大多数学生都改写得与原文相差无几,并且能体会到原文更能表现出藏戏的精妙和作者的赞叹之情。

许多学生写作时喜欢在开头上绕来绕去,故弄玄虚,转弯抹角,说些不着边的话,入题太慢;既浪费许多笔墨,又影响表达效果。实际上有许多优秀的作文开篇点题,如记叙文,一般都是直接进入事件的记叙,表明主旨;对于一般的议论文或者散文,在开头就应该摆明观点。即使在第一段用一则小故事或者用一组排比句来导入,第二段一定要把你表达的中心摆出来。
