“没有语法不能很好地表达, 而没有词汇则什么也不能表达。”可见词汇是培养语言技能的基础, 让学生掌握一定的词汇量, 是小学英语教学的重点, 也是一个难点。因此, 我们教师在英语词汇教学时, 应牢牢抓住40分钟的课堂教学时间, 从学生的学习实际情况、情感需求及学习特点出发, 采用有效合理的词汇教学策略, 让学生充分体验掌握英语词汇就是这么简单、轻松、有趣。笔者认为可从以下方面着手, 提高词汇教学的有效性。
一、活用游戏、儿歌, 增强词汇教学的趣味性
“游戏是儿童的天性。”在游戏中获取知识是学生喜闻乐见的学习方式。它既可以让学生在轻松的气氛中掌握并运用新词汇, 又可培养他们对学习英语的兴趣。在进行词汇教学时, 教师可根据不同类型的词汇引入各种不同的游戏, 如Guessing game、mouth game、TPR、Passing game、Touching game等。如在教学动词时, 可以尽量用TPR的方式做动作让学生猜;在教学动物类单词时, 先在屏幕上给学生呈现各式各样的精美的音乐盒, 点击盒子, 呈现动物的声音, 让学生猜里面的动物, 待学生猜中后, 再呈现动物与相应的单词教读几遍, 然后再把它串成歌谣。这样的动态演示直观、形象、具体、生动, 学生就容易记住这些单词。在巩固时, 教师也可以结合多媒体, 让动物在屏幕上一个个消失, 然后让学生分组抢答, 说出消失的动物, 这样能很好地调动学生的学习积极性, 有助于教师实现教学目标。

俗话说:百闻不如一见。实物是最直观的教学手段, 是我们英语课堂教学不可或缺的法宝。在教学英语单词时, 既可以用实物来导出要学习的新单词, 也可以在课堂上操练, 还可以用实物来复习已经学习过的单词, 让学生获得最为直观、最为形象的体验, 避免了枯燥、机械地学习单词。如学习用品类、水果类、服饰类的单词, 我们都可以把这些实物带到课堂上, 这样便有效地激发了学生的学习兴趣, 学生记忆单词又快又牢固。还可利用实物作道具, 开展猜物品游戏 (Guessing game) 、传递物品游戏 (Passing game) , 这样来学习英语单词, 可起到事半功倍的效果。

四、利用构词、联想, 形成词汇教学的网络性
